DKA is a multi-disciplinary architectural & Interior design practice established in 1984 by SK Dutta. In 1999 the firm was renamed DKA with studios in Bangalore & Kolkata, headed by Indraneel Dutta and Brinda Kannan.

Indraneel Dutta holds a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he was nominated to the SOM (Skidmore Owings & Merrill) fellowship and won the Franklin R Smith award for Urban Design from the Architectural League of Chicago. He has worked in the Mid-west (Chicago), New York area & London before starting work in India. He has experience in Healthcare, Commercial, Housing and Interiors. Indraneel Dutta has worked with HOK London (Hellmuth Obata & Kassabaum) before which he was with Atkins, Thomas Associates & Zachariah Consultants. Indraneel holds a first rank in the Bachelor’s degree of Architecture program at RVCE, Bangalore University. He went on to be an instructor for the Design Studio (V semester) in 2001 & is currently a visiting faculty. He is on the board of green Bangalore (an 80G organisation) & is a founding member of The Green Network. Indraneel is a strong advocate of Sustainable Design & Energy efficiency in built environments. Indraneel is an Associate of the Indian Institute of Architects and the American Institute of Architects, New York Chapter.
Brinda Kannan holds a Masters degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago & University of Texas at Arlington. At UT Arlington Brinda won the Texas Architectural Foundation Award. In Chicago Brinda worked with CUPPA (College of Urban Policy and Planning Administration) on the Gary (Indiana) Riverfront Revival Project. Brinda was part of the HOK New York office where she planned competition winning hospital projects. She moved to London to expand her experience and worked on Aviation projects in the UK & UAE while at Pascall & Watsons. Her experience in India includes Private Residences, IT fit outs & Commercial buildings. She has worked with Atkins, Thomas Associates & Zachariah Consultants. Brinda is an Associate of the Indian Institute of Architects.
Collaborations : DKA collaborates with HOK (Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum) and Sir Norman Foster & Partners for projects in Bangalore.
The Firm has the capability of collaborating with various consultants and clients locally and globally through all the modern technologies.
We have a team of a 25 very enthusiastic architects and planners. There is a team that looks after the BOQ and Costing of our projects. We have the expertise of site monitoring and coordination between working groups and consultants.
The Firm has a very proactive research wing called “Hybridarch” which continuously feed into the practice for real-time project work. There is a vision to enhance this activity even more in near future.
The Firm uses all cutting edge parametric software which allows us to explore design in three dimensions right from the beginning and helps to bridge between all the disciplines.
The Firm has completed more than 100 projects so far which would sum up to over 6 million sft of built up area and at present another half a million sft built up area is on the drawing board.
